This months outing was to Pinnacles National Monument on the 4th-6th. A hike, part of the Rim of the Bay, was the planned event. Heat was the troops enemy on this weekend. Initially planning to do a 10 mile hike to also complete one of the Hiking Merit Badge requirements the hike had to be shortened to doing just the Rim-of-the-Bay loop. The complete story tells of TJ’s fall and cut knee, two scouts doing a good turn and helping a lost little girl find her way, and a joke played on the Cub Master of a pack camping nearby. Sounds like despite the heat everyone had a good time and will have many memories of this outing.
