On Sunday the 27th, 15 scouts travelled to Mt. Wittenberg for a Rim of the Bay 6 mile hike. A number of those scouts also carried full packs weighing 25% of their body weight to get prepared for the upcoming 50 mile backpacking hike scheduled for August. It rained, hailed, and the sun finally came out–overall an enjoyable hike in the coastal rain.

Each Spring the Troop hosts a campout for Webelos Cub Scouts that are looking to join a boy scout troop. This years campout was on the very rainy weekend of February 11-13th. The weather was bad and a number of people cancelled due to the weather, but those that attended had a memorable weekend–we slept in the dinning hall and were warm and dry. We had a great campfire program (inside) and everyone had a great time.

Friday the 4th, 19 scouts attended the Indoor Rally featuring troops from through out the district. Troop 103 placed 1st in the First Aid Relay, 2nd in the Knot Relay, and 3rd in the Compass Relay and took 3rd place overall. Good job guys!
